Scharmützelsee Boat Trips: Welcome on Board

The Scharmützelsee recreational area

The Scharmützelsee – just an hours drive from Berlin - is located in the Saarow hills and is part of a large protected area. The centre of this green, recreational oasis is formed by the largest lake in the state of Brandenburg, the Scharmützelsee.

The Scharmützelsee belongs to the Storkower waters and is directly connected to the Berlin water ways. The Scharmützelsee Schifffahrt boat company offers four modern passenger ships with place for a total of 560 passengers, giving you the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful parts of Brandenburg from the water.

Our boats set sail from the Seestraße harbour in Bad Saarow - not only for round trips on the lake, but also for trips along the canals and day trips to Prieros.

You can of course also rent a boat for special trips. Tour groups are always welcome. You can use a combination of public transport for your day trip:
Boat, train, bus, as well as the many walking and cycling routes. For groups of 15 people or more we can arrange for hire bikes to be waiting for you at the pier where the boat lands. This service is provided by Fahrrad-Scheffler in Bad Saarow. (Information and enquiries: Tel. 033631/ 58800)

We look forward to you visit and not only wish you an enjoyable boat trip, but recommend that you explore Bad Saarow, with its thermal saltwater spa, spa gardens, Theater am See, SaarowCentrum, zoological gardens ... and of course the stunning beauty of the Scharmützelsee region.

For water sports fans we offer mooring space for your own boats in the centre of Bad Saarow at 4 jetties. Food and drink can be enjoyed on our boats, in the ice cream shop and in the Park-Café Restaurant.
