On Lakes Dahme and Scharmützelsee (approx. 136 km / 2 to 3 days)
The landscape surrounding Berlin is rich in lakes and forests. Boat captains pilot along dozens of small and big lakes along the peaceful River Dahme. The “Dahme-Heidesee” nature reserve shields this unique landscape with its vast, wonderfully scented pine tree woods. Lake Scharmützelsee, a highly popular travel destination with Berlin´s residents, provides everything guests long for. The lake, also referred to as the “Märkische Meer”, appeals to visitors with its munificence and dreamy villages like Bad Saarow, a health resort steeped in tradition. The resort town is also known for its high-end hotels, first-class wellness offerings, immaculate lakeside promenade, as well as one of Germany´s most beautiful golf courses.
